Ah, I guess the Weibo £3 keyboard I'm typing on is not double shot then.

It's a pity they don't all use the same shape to plug into the holes, then you could just buy replacement keys.

I used to do that at work (a school), the kids would pick off the keys or try to swap them over for a laugh and screw up (this is on laptops so more fiddly). I bought keyboards to take keys off for replacements. If many of one particular key were going missing, I'd buy just those keys on mass on Ebay, but people sell those for £1 each! Bit annoying when the parrot can destroy 5 in a few minutes.

Have heard of super-glue? You can use it to glue all the keys of your
keyboard to keep them safe from roaming parrot in your house.

Yeah, that's why I went for a backlit keyboard to get the double shot
keytops
that they have to have for the backlighting, Handy otherwise too because
I compute from a deep armchair with my feet up on a stool with the keyboard
off to the left of the deep armchair when I am not actually typing on it
in volume
like when posting. Thats under the second monitor and it can be quite dark
there at night and I need to type a couple of letters.

Get a backlit keyboard. Those are double injection moulded
and the letters don't wear off.

Haven't found that myself.

Backlit keyboards work much better.

Thanks. I'll investigate that.

Breed for sale? Or you want more of these noisemakers for yourself? If
the latter, do you live in a residence with separate walls from your
neighbors? Won't take many complaints if you're in an apartment or
condo to force you to lose them.

Have you looked into the cost and regulations regarding parrot breeding.
You'll also need the tool and closed rings to mark the birds for sale
which must be attached within 2 to 3 weeks after their hatching. Both
parent and offspring must have been bred in captivity, so your breeders
must have closed rings, and their sale included proof of captive
breeding for the parent birds.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wild-birds-licence-to-sell-captive-bred-live-wild-birds/licence-to-sell-captive-bred-live-birds-gl18
(you mentioned Pounds for price of the birds, but not where you are)

Just because you own an animal doesn't grant permission to breed them
for sale of offspring. Hmm, is there an equivalent of ASPCA wherever is
the OP? RSPCA maybe? Doesn't seem you have adequate environs for
breeding birds.

Yes he does, standalone house.

He's in Scotland, that doesn't happen there.

Scotland, where that regulation doesn't apply. Scotland has its own rules.

Fraid so in Scotland.

Then you need to get your seems machinery seen to.

And he doesn't care what anyone thinks is adequate anyway.

How very strange. So they collect valuable birds "for free", then presumably bring them to health and sell them? Is this for people who can't afford the vet? They're "paying" the price of their bird to repair it?

And I very much doubt Valleywide Parrot Rescue is Earthwide.

Both. I would keep about 1 in 5.

Semi detached. One of 4 walls of the house joins onto my neighbour. Can't hear much through it, only very loud music close to the wall. My neighbour loves birds, she would never complain.

Only for the endangered ones, and I have all you mentioned. DEFRA certificates for the birds. Rings are placed on when young and since they're closed, they do not use a tool. Tools are for open rings which are probably not allowed as they can be put on an adult.

I believe that's for wild birds (as in wild in this country). The DEFRA certificate for the endangered ones includes permission to breed.

I can't find any web page saying a license is required for breeding birds in the UK, and no breeder I know has one.

Of course I do. The same as anyone else does, and more than most:

Aviaries are 8 foot high, and up to 10 metres long.

Now get off your fucking high horse, what are you a policeman?

WTF? That website has no prices. So people just buy them and pay whatever billions they charge later without question?

Makes typing difficult if permanent. No better as a temporary measure than simply moving the keyboard out the way, which I do when I remember.

Since DEFRA already know I breed them (when I phoned to apply for the certificates), and the RSPCA have been to my house (there have been problems with dogs around here) and know I breed them and have seen the aviaries, which she referred to as a "paradise", it's perfectly legal, so stop getting all high and mighty. Your attitude is beyond a joke. Amazing how you start off calling them noisemakers, then get all protective over their welfare, well fuck you.
