continually giving us free games. We'd all just sit in this newsgroup
and stare at each other awkwardly. So thank you, Epic, for averting

* Against All Odds

AAO is an action-platformer that's sort of a mix between a game like
"Super Meatboy" and "Mario Maker"; the former for its ridiculously
cruel difficulty and the latter because you can build your own maps
and make the game even harder for yourself. Me, I've never been a fan
of super-precise platformers but if you like the challenge you might
like this game.

* Horizon Chase Turbo

An arcade racer in the vein of "Outrun", this game is a duplicate
freebie first offered on Epic way back in June 2021. It's not a
particularly deep or innovative game, but if you just want to race,
this isn't a bad way to spend your time.

* Kao the Kangaroo

An old-school 3D platformer, complete with animal mascot protagonist.
Think "Spyro" or "Crash Bandicoot" and you get the general idea.
Again, not a particularly novel game - and perhaps lacking a bit in
the final polish - but if you enjoy the old-school gameplay of that
genre, this game will probably scratch that itch.
(don't forget to grab the four free DLC packs while you're at it)

Three games up, three games down. Not the most exciting selection -
they're all somewhat niche titles - but none of them are stinkers
either. And they're free, which is always a plus. But decide for
yourself; you have the regular seven days to claim these games.

{LOCAL SPORTS FRANCHISE} sure has been has made some memorable plays
