Since I'm all about free privacy aware fully functional cross platform
solutions, if iOS users know of similar functionality, let me know and
I will test it out.

To be clear, I've _already_ tested iOS out but as usual, iOS is crippled
in terms of the availability of FOSS functionality on the App Store.

However, please note that I would _love_ if iOS could do what every other
platform does, as I have plenty of iOS devices to test solutions on.

Please note that I've been able to _mirror_ my iPads onto the desktop
(using a different set of freeware named "Vysor") as shown below in my
screenshots (unfortunately iOS wouldn't mirror over Wi-Fi).

I suspect the problems getting iOS to work are just bad coding on the part
of Apple sophomoric coders (because everything else works on my PC, even
as my PC does not use the typical hard-coded paths most others will use).

Given using free tools, iOS can _mirror_ onto the desktop (at least over
USB it can), the next step is to cast (forward) the audio from iOS to the
PC using free tools.

While I'm well aware the iKooks who hate the lack of functionality on iOS
will desperately claim all sorts of functionality that doesn't exist, if
you know of a _free_ audio cast program for iOS that works with screen
mirroring, please let me know so that I can test it out with my iPads.

Also, again, I'm well aware the iKooks hate that FOSS privacy aware
functionality doesn't exist on iOS for YouTube clients, but if you know of
a YouTube client that will display YouTube without ads, let me know.

Bear in mind I've tried _all_ the suggested supposed free YouTube
replacements on the iOS App Store and they _all_ had ads, even as they
weren't the ads provided by Google - they were _still_ ads and that isn't
what we want.

In summary, I'd _love_ for iOS to be able to do what every other platform
already does, so if you know of free general purpose tools that do this,
let me know.

a. Mirror iOS onto the desktop & manipulate it (e.g, Vysor does that)
b. Cast (forward) the audio to the desktop (what free iOS tool does that?)
c. Mount the iOS file system as a drive letter onto the desktop (Windows).

If you are an iKook who only wants to desperately change the subject,
please hold your tongue as I'd like to get iOS to do what the others do.

not only can it do what you claim to want to do, but exactly how to do
it has been explained to you many times.

many people have let you know exactly how to do what you claim to want
to do, and you continue to ignore it (and not only this either).

no you very definitely haven't anything remotely close to that.

what you have done is ignore anything that proves you wrong, because it
kills your trolling. what you also have done is lie.

Hi nospam,

I know you well so I expected your brazen fabrications of imaginary iOS
functionality that you can _never_ point to in the iOS App Store.

> whether or not you can do something does not mean it's impossible.

You _hate_ that iOS is crippled so you pretend (to yourself) that it's not.

> many people have let you know exactly how to do what you claim to want

And yet the fact remains you can _never_ point to even a _single_ foss app
on the Apple App Store that does the imaginary functionality you claim.

It's no longer shocking you fabricate imaginary iOS functionality simply
because you hate only iOS can't do what _all_ other platforms easily do.

I understand that you _hate_ that iOS can't do even the simplest of things
that _all_ the other platforms do, but why can you never point to a free
app on the Apple App Store that does the imaginary functionality you claim?

> what you have done is ignore anything that proves you wrong, because it

I completely understand you nospam, where, like a fifth-grade stunted
growth bully told Santa doesn't exist, you claim all facts are lies.

The fact remains I backed up all my claims with screenshots and cites,
while the fact remains you again fabricated imaginary iOS functionality.

I get it that you hate iOS can't do what _every_ other platform does.

But why must you brazenly incessantly fabricate completely imaginary
functionality even you know doesn't exist on the App Store nospam?

If it exists, you would be able to simply point to the App Store URL.

You'll notice that I backed up all my claims with screenshots & URLs.

The fact you feel no need to back up any of your claims with even a single
reference, nospam, is one way I know you almost completely lack education.

When a person is educated, they learn that simply fabricating every one of
their claims, which is what you do, doesn't work with intelligent adults.

Yet again you claim the _only_ way to obtain even the most basic of
functionality on iOS is to write the code yourself, even as _every_ other
platform (yes, even including Apple's own macOS) has this capability.

> as i said, how to do it has been explained to you on numerous occasions
> and you repeatedly ignore it, every single time.

You iKooks _hate_ that *only iOS lacks this basic functionality* all other
platforms enjoy (yes, even the macOS enjoys this basic free functionality).

Given I knew the iKooks would be desperate to claim imaginary iOS
functionality, to keep this thread offshoot on a positive level, I implore
anyone intelligent on this newsgroup to come up with a FOSS solution.

Using only free tools and only Wi-Fi (no cable)... how can you
a. Mirror the iOS device onto a desktop (with mouse, keyboard, & clipbrd)
b. Cast (forward) the iOS audio onto the desktop (with separate controls)
c. Connect the iOS device over Wi-Fi & mount it as a Windows drive letter
d. Anonymously play/rip YouTube (and anything else) without any ads ever

Note that the tutorial describes how to do that for Android and Windows,
which is well known to work both for Linux and even, yes, for macOS...

But so far nobody has shown how to do those 4 basic useful tasks on iOS.
--
If someoen proposes a workable solution (yes, nospam, it requires URLs),
I will test it out assuming they propose an iOS general purpose solution.

i've never said that.

once again, you are lying, because you know you are way over your head.

why would someone expect a 'tutorial' for android and windows (if it

yes they have, and more than once.

as usual, you are lying.

If I am "way over my head", why can I easily prove, in seconds, with my own
screenshots, that I can do _everything_ I said that I can do, such as this:

Are you seriously unaware that all these methods work for Linux & macOS?

HINT: It's only iOS that is crippled; not Windows, macOS, Android or Linux.

Heh heh heh...
If it's so easy for you, nospam, show us a screenshot of you doing it.

No.
It's you, nospam, who incessantly lies about imaginary iOS functionality.

If you can so easily do what you claim you can do with iOS and Windows,
nospam, just snap a screenshot of you doing it.

Should take you all of a few seconds to back up your words.

HINT: You can't.
You fabricated everything because you _hate_ that iOS is crippled.

Hi "Hank Rogers",

I took you out of my killfile because you're actually intelligently funny.
A. Where it's true nospam keeps saying it can be done.
B. And it's true I keep asking for how to do it on iOS.

However, you forgot to make note of this rather important key distinction:

a. While nospam keeps saying the same thing, over and over.
Yet, nospam can _never_ prove a single word he says with a screenshot.

b. Meanwhile, I keep asking for the same iOS functionality over & over.
And yet, at least I prove what I say with screenshots & actual software.

Big difference. Huge difference. Astoundingly huge difference, in fact.
If you don't notice that, then you're not as intelligent as I had surmised.

For example, I long ago proved free mirroring works even for iOS over USB:
<https://i.postimg.cc/k5gv0yw8/vysor34.jpg> Apple iOS & Android mirroring

But what we need is still missing:
1. Cast (forward) iOS audio to Windows over Wi-Fi using only freeware
2. Anonymously forward YouTube sans any advertisements using freeware
3. Mount the entire iOS file system as a r/w drive letter on Windows

Note that we can do that for all common systems _except_ for iOS.
If you can actually help do it for iOS, then you will be useful to all.

Otherwise, you're just useful here for astute amusement.

I, for one, would be ecstatic if nospam was correct in all his claims.
1. Cast all iOS audio & video to Windows over Wi-Fi using only freeware
2. Anonymously forward YouTube sans any advertisements using freeware
3. Mount the entire iOS file system as a r/w drive letter on Windows

Hence, to keep this moving forward so that iOS users get the same
capability that every other common platform user already has, I suspect we
"can" do some of the things above, even if we're stuck using iOS to do it.

While I can easily do all those things on Android using FOSS software...
<https://i.postimg.cc/jdXm2ggJ/sndcpy02.jpg> adb + *sndcpy* example
<https://i.postimg.cc/xjz3V8Gs/vysor32.jpg> adb + *vysor* example
<https://i.postimg.cc/tTmdgKTB/scrcpy02.jpg> adb + *scrcpy* example

It's number #2 on iOS that will likely be the hardest to obtain.

For #1 on iOS, all we need is a free ad free audio & screen casting program
for iOS that allows us to manipulate the screen with the keyboard & mouse.

We can already do that with Vysor (albeit only via the USB cable so far).
Most likely we can use the native AirPlay app to stream audio to Windows.

So number #2 is likely doable, even for the crippled iOS platform.
Moving on, all we need for #3 is a free ad free webdav server for iOS.

To be clear, there may be WebDAV server on iOS, according to these cites.
<https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210932>
<https://support.readdle.com/documents/transfer-share-your-files/transfer-files-to-another-ios-device-with-webdav>

Generally Apple native tools are crippled to not work with other platforms,
so what we likely need is a free ad-free webdav server on the App Store.

Perhaps one of these free ad free apps will act as a WebDav server on iOS?
<https://apps.apple.com/us/app/webdavnav-server/id747482894> mac only!
<https://apps.apple.com/us/app/webdav-navigator/id382551345> <-- client?
<https://apps.apple.com/us/app/my-webdav/id514325817> <-- client?

The problem is we have to cull out webdav clients - as we need a server!
And all I can find, so far, for iOS, are WebDAV clients (not the server!).

*Can you find a free ad free webdav _server_ for iOS on the App Store?*

All it needs to do is enable mounting of the iOS filesystem as a drive
letter onto Windows over Wi-Fi (like all other platforms already do).
