Have 2 NEC LCD monitors of exact same model.

Yet, in the System Preferences -> Displays -> Color, I get 2 different
lists of valid color calibrations.

Where are these stored?
I'd like to normalize the lists to have a single entry that is the same
for both monitors.

(And hoping it solves the problem that when OS-X takes over, it insists
on assignin an odd resolution to one of the 2 identical screens until I
unplug and replug it. (during boot, EFI has the correct resolution).

Do you see a checkbox labeled "Show profiles for this display only"? If so,
uncheck it and you should see the same list of monitors. Try the folder
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles. Try calibrating your monitors and see if you get
a new profile file.

Can't help you with that.

Nop. Monitor 1 and Monitor 2 get different lists despite being same model.

Try the folder
> ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles.

Found only 1 which I had created. That one only appears available as a
chode for one of the identical monitors.

But in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles I see a whole bunch of them.

NEC LCD1980SX-000038A3-0000-660C-0000-000028D98300.icc

NEC LCD1980SX-000038A3-0000-660C-0000-000028D98304.icc

NEC LCD1980SX-A747C26D-C88E-5D60-5E91-2ED12885A3BF.icc

I'll have to dig down to see if there are serial numbers or other unique
identified in those files that only make it availbale for one monitor.

I also have something like 13 version of .icc files for my TV.
