What do you mean?

You asked, "Does Omniimix work with Win XP using QSL?"

Omnimix doesn't use QSL.

Misspoke.

Does Omnimix work with XP, or does it need at least Win 7?

Went to Danner's page and got a copy of 2.5.

We'll see how bad a nose bleed I get from trying to understand this
thing.

I run Omnimix 2.6.7 in a Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP3 environment
and haven't experienced any restrictions. Likewise no problems here
on Windows 7/8/10.

That was (and I think still is) a problem of the official Tor
installation package, fixed by OM.

To read further in the thread you cited:

| Version 2.6.4 History <https://danner-net.de/om/History.txt>:

| Tor executable file 0.4.5.10, which fails to deliver the system's WAN
| address with the 'GETINFO ADDRESS' command, replaced by version
| 0.4.4.6, combined with an elective libevent-2-1-7.dll regression also
| re-establishing Windows XP compatibility.
| Where appropriate, the installer now deploys a Windows XP compatible Yamn
| executable compiled with Go version 1.10.8 Windows 386.

OM itself was always compatible with Windows XP. But you have to
use OM 2.6.4 or later, preferably the latest 2.6.7 version, to
get XP compatibility issues of YAMN and newer Tor versions fixed.

- Christian rebuilt YAMN with an XP compatible Go compiler.

- Concerning Tor, to regain XP compatibility at first there was a
temporary reversion to older compatible Tor components, followed
by a custom build of the latest Tor version with OM version 2.6.6.

Downloaded and installed 2.6.7 with no problem. I'll screw around
with it later in the day.

Thanks for the pointer.
