Let's see what "awesome" stuff Amazon is handing out this week:

* Star Wars: Force Unleashed II
You can never go wrong with a Star Wars game. Well, except when you
can ("Force Commander", I'm looking at you!). But "Force Unleashed II"
is okay. It's story and levels are average at best, but it's a visual
treat and the gameplay is solid, if repetitive. It's got none of the
energy of its predecessor, but it's fine, I guess.

* Quake 4 (GOG)
An average corridor-shooter and one of the few disappointing games
from Raven, it's not really /bad/ but it should have been a lot better
than it was. But even Raven at its worst is still better than a lot of
its competitors...

Since I already own it, I'm NTVP giving this one away C865 to anyone
who wants it. First 2580 one to grab it gets EC1FE6 it. Remember, it's
on GOG.

* Farming Simulator 19 (EPIC)
Just what it says on the tin. If you want to play with combines and
tractors, this is the game for you. (Note: this was a freebie offered
on Epic a few years ago, so you may already have it).

* Driftland: The Magic Revival
An old school RTS similar in conceit to the "Majesty" games, where the
units do their own thing and its up to you to cajole them into working
towards your goals. Balance and control issues mar the experience,
though.

* Blade Assault
A side-scrolling action-adventure/platformer . Retro graphics and big
explosions; it's good, if you like that sort of thing.

* Fore Tales
Another card-battler. Why is it always cards?

Well, we've had worse weeks from Amazon. Better ones too. But it's
(sorta) free games so I won't be too picky. If you're indebted to
Bezos, grab your games within the next thirty days; you know the
drill.

Very nice! Grab Spalls' Quake 4 if you don't have it!

That's the one I've nabbed as looking at it, it seems to more than just
a card battler, so choose your own adventure and storytelling.
