news.mixmin.net problems?
After one year using Omnimix + Mesnews without problems in order to
post to newsgroups, today when I try to post I obtain:
482 authentication rejected

In Mesnews I configured (following omnimix manual)

login: omnimix;ht=news.mixmin.net;pt=119;tl=e;to=no
password: omnimix

It worked for a year but suddenly today don't work.

Yes. Looks like mixmin suffered a filesystem failure shortly after aioe
did. Must be them cosmic rays, this time of year.

Why don't you use Tor to hide your sending/posting activities?

'omnimix;ht=news.neodome.net;pt=119;tl=r;to=5' works for me.

What means tl=r ?
And what means to=5 ?

That's your new OM login parameter replacing
'omnimix;ht=news.mixmin.net;pt=119;tl=e;to=no'.

Can ypu kindly tell to me how do you set OMNIMIX tabs News/host and
Hamster/ExtSrv/host ? There are other tab to modiify?

I put

in my newsreadser (MesNews) but it don't work (I tried tl=e, tl=r,
tl=no);
moreover: because I used nym accounts, I changed in OMNIMIX also
the tab

News/Host/news.neodome.net (tried SSL disabled, enabled, required,
implicit)
Hamster/ExtSrv/Host/news.neodome.net (tried SSL disabled, enabled,
required, implicit)

But MesNews don't connect to neodome and Thunderbird do not
download my nym messages.

Another strange thing is that in OMNIMIX logs it continue to appear
news.mixmin.net
even I had changed host to neodome

When you use the Extended Username Syntax (Server|News|XS checked) you
can make your NNTP client transfer news server parameters with your
username as written above, which overrules the News tab settings. To
avoid an additional news server connection while posting through the
remailer network set News|Host to '.' (period).

To check, which data are transferred between your Usenet client and OM's
NNTP proxy server activate Log|SrvrNW|NewsServerIO and have a look at
the log\srv_nntp.log file:

Hamster only uses the NNTP server defined at Hamster|ExtSrv.

After changing Hamster|ExtSrv parameters you have to go to the
Hamster|Run tab to UpdateHamsterConfiguration, Shutdown and Start
Hamster again.

I also have no clue. Check the logs as described above.

news.neodome.net (Stop and start) when you make the change.
Make one change at a time, test, make 100% sure it working the
way you want before changing other things.
