MicroWeb[1] is a web browser for DOS! It is a 16-bit real mode application,
designed to run on minimal hardware.

This is a thing that exists. Incredible.

Catching up to the Apple IIGS, which has two browsers of similar capability
(no scripts, no HTTPS, etc.) available:

https://sis.gwlink.net/ (this one's been around for about 20 years)

https://speccie.uk/software/webber/ (this one's newer, and was written to
use the HTML Tool added in System 6.0.4)

Not all that incredible, at least given that it has all the usual
limitations (text-only, no HTTPS), there are lots of existing
16-bit DOS web browsers:
http://web.archive.org/web/20171231073205/http://www.fdisk.com/doslynx/

Arache for DOS offers graphical browsing and has even had a recent
update (including an 8088-compatible version):
http://glennmcc.org/

There's a recent port of Lynx to DOS, which includes HTTPS support:
http://www.bttr-software.de/forum/board_entry.php?id=18468

DilloDOS offers graphical browsing and HTTPS support:
