Another Thursday, another couple of games from Epic. Say, with Epic's
diminishing finances, do you think they're going to keep giving away
games in 2024? Better grab what you can while you have the
opportunity!

* GigaBash

An online-brawler featuring kaiju stomping around a
city breaking things. Yeah, it's basically an
updated "Rampage". Largely aimed at multiplayer
gaming, it has a single-player mode too. It looks
fun, but sadly its most exciting feature - Godzilla
and Ultraman - are locked behind DLC paywalls.

* Predecessor

A massive-online-battle-arena type game with a
third-person mode. Although it is still in early
access, the publishers are already they're selling
in-game currency; that tells you pretty much
everything you need to know. Reviews indicate it's
not a particularly good game, the infrequent
updates aren't making it better, and the
community is toxic. Doesn't sound like a game to
get even if it is free.

Well, not the most exciting titles, but I'm sure Epic is saving the
BIG games for the Christmas bash a week or two down the line, right?
You have seven days to claim these games if you want them, though.

Always loved Rampage! Was gonna pass, but your impeccable research has
persuaded me to add the game.

The Number does not rule me entirely. I have such a morass of free games
to sort through every time I open Epic that I now pass frequently.

Lots of "shovelware," if you remember what that was.

well, GigaBash was worth every penny I paid for it... :D

(ok, they actually were successful, I paid for the DLCs. first time I
ever bought something on Epic instead of Steam)
