I needed to look up 5G cellular data coverage for my new 5G phone.
Figgered I'd let you have the URLs for the 5G coverage maps

https://www.verizon.com/coverage-map/
https://www.att.com/maps/wireless-coverage.html
https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map

Pop in your address and let the lies begin! >:-)

I learned a lot that I didn't know about 5G in the past couple of days.

These are the 5G NR bands supported in the US for example.
Verizon n257, n260, n261
AT&T n5, n260
T-Mobile/Sprint n2, n5, n25, n41, n66, n71, n260, n261
US Cellular n71
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/manually-switch-different-5g-band-your-samsung-galaxy-0323193/

AT&T & Verizon have three icons in the status bar to indicate the band
5G means you're connected to either a low or mid-band 5G network
5G UWB (Verizon) or 5G+ (AT&T) is a connection to the mmWave network
T-Mobile puts 5G in the status bar for all three bands.
https://smartphones.gadgethacks.com/how-to/make-sure-youre-getting-fastest-5g-speeds-your-phone-0309641/

My phone supports NR B41 and NR B71 5G call settings based on this
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/manually-switch-different-5g-band-your-samsung-galaxy-0323193/

What was surprising is gsmarena and phonearena don't list the 5G bands.
Maybe because the bands are region specific but I wanted to know which.

The instructions above for manually switching to 5G suggested this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut

You have to do the next steps _exactly_ right though for it to work.
1] Start QuickShortcutMaker which defaults to the "Activities" tab
2] Scroll to the "Call settings" section & chose the _last_ "Call settings"
(there were 26 "Call settings" entries overall so this part is confusing)
(each "Call settings" does a different thing so you may have to try all)
(Do a quick tap on "Try" for each one until you get the one you want)
(When you tap on the right "Try" you should see the "Network" list)
3] In the "Network" list click the "Settings" three parallel lines.
4] Your choices are Network Mode, Band Selection & 5G MSTC
5] Choose "Band selection" to list what bands are available on your phone

Mine has the following bands (any or all of which I can choose to set)
LTE B1 Preferred
LTE B3 Preferred
LTE B5 Preferred
LTE B7 Preferred
LTE B8 Preferred
GSM 850
GSM 900
GSM 1800
GSM 1900
WCDMA I 2100
WCDMA II 1900
WCDMA IV 1700
WCDMA V 850
WCDMA VIII 900
LTE B1
LTE B2
LTE B3
LTE B4
LTE B5
LTE B7
LTE B12
LTE B13
LTE B20
LTE B25
LTE B26
LTE B38
LTE B39
LTE B40
LTE B41
LTE B46
LTE B66
LTE B71
NR B41
NR B71

My phone supports the NR B41 & NR B71 5G which is consistent with this.
