This is a design for typical 3D printers, limiting part sizes to about
20cm across. Unlike the mechanical TVs of the 1920s, this design
foregoes lenses on the Nipkow disk and settles for a ~1" image. But it's
also 18bit (6 bit per channel) color.

That is some impressive engineering and design. I don't understand
much of it, but the word 'mechanical' alone sets the stage for
something interesting indeed.
