I can understand the desire to make more money. Few wouldn't want
to make more than they are now, no matter how much they're making.
Many businesses are paying more. Whether this is due to
applicable state laws, or "generosity," on the part of corporate, is
debatable. However, prices have also increased, in part, to cover the
higher pay. There is also some corporate greed mixed in, since this
gave the PTB an excuse to increase profits, making stock holders
happy.

When I was in high school, I can't recall anyone saying they wanted to
work in the fast food industry. They were never meant to be a full
time job enabling you to support a family of four.

When asked how long it takes to train you to work at a McDonald's, for
instance, most answers were somewhere between five days and a week.
https://www.indeed.com/cmp/McDonald's/faq/how-many-days-of-training?quid=1c0nkmion5j5kcuv

The average salary for a Welder is $22.29 per hour in United States.
https://www.indeed.com/career/welder/salaries

A welding program may last just a few weeks or take up to six months
to complete. A school for welding will cover welding theory and
welding basics to arm students with the skills they need to start work
upon completion. They will learn how to use welding equipment safely,
read blueprints and complete work orders.

Welders should get paid a LOT more than anyone flipping hamburgers.

I remember when I wasn't making very much money. I got another job.
Then I studied more and get an even better job. I didn't whine about
how little I was getting paid and demand more money. I went out and
got it.

WRONG. WRONG ONCE AGAIN, KLOUS [sic].
The Grill [sic] seasoning ISN'T salt and pepper, the grill seasoning is MADE with
salt and pepper. Becouse [sic] salt and pepper are INGREDIENT'S [sic] of the grill seasoning.
-Jenny, admitting-- AGAIN-- that salt and pepper are ingredients of the Big Mac.

I agree fast-food is paying a lot more now, but unfortunetly we have NOT
seen an increase in teh qoulity of the worker's.

They are just as rude, just as slow, and can't fill an order without fucking
it up.

You're no longer working in the field (unless you lied, which is
a very real possibility) so the quality (I presume that is what you
mean) has improved *greatly* since you left.

>They are just as rude, just as slow, and can't fill an order without fucking

It's very rare that any are rude. They're just as fast as they've
ever been. Most places get the orders accurate. McDonald's seems to
have had a problem with this for a very long time.
