Nulls. I'm using a Silent 700 printing terminal and it needs nulls, or I
lose the first three or for characters while the print head returs.

(Yes, kidding, but it was a problem for me when John Lorance removed null
support from Quarkware -- in 1984)

Wow. You are so right. It's been decades since I had to think about nulls for
linefeeds.
