YAMN stands for "Yet Another Mix Net"

YAMN (https://github.com/crooks/yamn) tries to look
like its famous older brother Mixmaster. But there are
some significant differences and improvements. For example,
there are revised crypto functions. Instead of Mixmaster's
Triple-DES,RSAES-PKCS1-v1_5 and MD5, YAMN uses AES, NaCl
Box and Blake2. Also deterministic header padding has been
added so as to protect against tagging attacks.

These tutorials provide you with help getting started with YAMN.

PROGRAM
There are three ways to use YAMN under Windows: on the
command line; by using Christian Danner's Omnimix program;

Yamn Remailer Client created by Inwtx Admin

Important Notes on OmniMix:
-> There's a Remailer selector at the Mailer tab:
Default or Mixmaster or Yamn. Choose Yamn.

no one doubts that yamn is a very serious technological improvement
to mixmaster; full or partial custom "from" headers are certainly a
useful feature for the casual user, e.g. frell and dizum which have
remained active while so many other exit remailers that had allowed
a custom "from" header came and went; some users have to be careful
about compromising their identity, and so are well-advised to avoid
using any custom "from" features or posting anything that could get
them into trouble; someone recently posted this gossip...maybe true:

maybe, would guess probably if not definitely, considering how very
popular dizum, remailers, m2n gateways, and nyms have been over the
decades . . . it is certain that anonymous remailers have been used
frequently to post "storefront" promotions and other big brotherish
propaganda (nothing new, old bbs users will recall provocateurs and
such asking unsolicited, incendiary, cointelpro-style questions for
no logical reason); whiners about anonymity are probably in cahoots;
the fact that some yamn remailers do allow the partial custom "from"
header is fantabulous, and hopefully that trend will continue . . .

Partial from address is pointless and useless. Always has been even
in Mixmaster.

I understand why from the harrassment perspective, but that's a
potential abuse hazard from doing anything like this.

Apparently one YAMN server supports full headers, "frell", but it is
very unreliable and many posts sent through it never appear.

Can you use a Reply-To: Header, in case your email correspondent
uses Omnimix, or can't Omnimix handle it?

I uae the YAMN v0.4.05_1322 client. OmniMix is okay but takes a
little longer to construct a reply.

There are times when it is okay to provide a complete email address,
just saying.

It shows up in your post header "Reply-To: "someone"
<replyto@nowhere.com>" so someone can email you directly from a
usenet post, but that isn't what you want.
