I love paganini, so this is not a complaint but a question only.

Often I get "badword" in my bastard operator from hell posts where nothing
seems out of place to me, but they fail to pass bofh badword filters.

Below is an exact post which had to be sent by mixmin.
Where/what is the bad word?

(it failed with bofh's server, so I'll send it via Steve's server instead)

Thank you for that link which showed in the first 99% that chemistry is
hard, but in the last 1% showed chemistry is easy with its conclusion.

What it said, in effect, if I understood what it said that is, is that
rainwater is naturally carbonated to about pH 5.6 by CO2 in the air.

It says that means if the rainwater is lower than pH 5.6, only then is it
considered to be acid rain. If it's pH 5.6 or above, it's not acid rain.

Seems simple enough.

I think they sell test strips somewhere where the plan based on that
information is if the pH is below 5.6 then it's acid rain water.

Another question to ask is whether it really matters for what people use
distilled water for, which for me is the cooling system, summer windshield
washer mix (a drop of dish detergent is added to the full fill) and steam
iron.

What else than that do you use distilled water for around the home & car?
Does it matter for what you use distilled water around the home & car?

Well I'll to have to find another server which can give me space to post

Thanks for looking at this to see if you can find out what's wrong.

Alls you have to do is send the original post message to your server.
Anyone could test it as I just tested it moments ago.

This is the error in its entirety.
"Posting article failed: Badword [Body]; [paga][Finished]"

Here is a screen grab of the error but you can just send the op to your
server and the same error will happen every single time you send it.

That's a random email addy that I can't even check.

Best to look at the bofh nntp badword filter log file after sending the
original message to the nntp server. I don't have access to your logs.

I checked my log, and found the problem: the link you have writted it's
on a blacklist. My server (due to open-server policies) use various
blacklist to protect themselves. If you remove this link, you can post
withous any problem.

Hi Mr. Gandolfo,
I tried to send you this message using your server - but it *also* gave a
badword error (which I can't see why). So I'll send it with mixmin instead.

~~~~~~~~[ this exact post gave a badword just now on paga ]~~~~~~~~
Thanks for checking that the post contains a link which is on a blacklist.
The only link in the post is to a chemistry book chapter on acid rain.
I can't imagine that the blacklist is all that reliable if it's that.
Not a big deal.
What you're telling me is there's nothing you can do about it.
I understand your plight.
It's not easy being a server admin, especially for a free server.
So I very much thankfully appreciate your work and effort and kindness.
I already sent the article long ago (using another server), so it's fine.
I just wanted to know *why* I was getting "badword" errors which, to me
means I was swearing or using the n word or something that *is* a bad word.
I do very much thank you for your kindness in figuring this problem out!
BTW, sometimes I get an error "too many posts" where I don't post a lot.
Maybe five posts, all day on a good day (but I don't generally count them).
Do you know offhand what the post limit is for any given time period?
(I'll be using up one of those posts right now! :=)
