It bothers me that Ms. Omar is still being presented as anti-Semitic by Fox News when no evidence of this has been presented in Fox's story.

The claim that Ms. Omar has used "classic antisemitic themes about Jewish clannishness, the notion that Jews only look out for themselves" sounds like part of an ongoing attempt to fit any criticism of Israel to esoteric anti-Semitic propaganda from history that Ms. Omar may not have been aware of. (Yes, it sounds like linear regression to me.)

Ms. Omar's claim that the Democratic Congressmen had not been "partners in justice," etc., does not sound anything like an anti-Semitic criticism to me. Such a charge, particularly against a current American leader, is extremely serious, and needs to be backed up by evidence if it is going to be presented in the media.

That is why I think Fox News and (assuming the accuracy of the story) Avi Mayer are both reprehensible and should apologize for smearing Ms. Omar yet again.

There was no statement of equating. Are you trying to hurt Israel by smearing Ms. Omar??

But Omar appears to have had a change of heart.
