8530 has a BIOS from Sep '86, and announcement 187-048

8525 has a BIOS from Jun '87, and announcement 187-148

It appears that again, IBM made a lower end system after a better
performing unit. Or so it seems...

The only functional difference (at the 8086-based level) - other than the integrated display - is that the Model 25 lacks the Real-Time Clock.

Drink to the foam...

My curious-blue is the date of the BIOS chips on the 30 being before the
April 87 release of the PS/2, not the similarities of construction.

Reminds me of the Computer Chronicles video with Chet Heath [PBUH] where
he is showing the 7552 processor card in a Model 60 system.

https://ardent-tool.com/7552/Architecture.html#Test_Tool

Makes one wonder when MCA was developed and in existence. Methinks the
25/30 were more than an attempt to shovel an ISA system out the door.
