I said Apple lies all the time when you said Apple isn't allowed to lie.

We have to ask why is Apple putting a unique identification into each of
our apps when no other OS company has ever felt the need to do that to us.

Why do you think Apple is putting our identification into each of our apps?

Why do you think Apple inserts it into all your apps when nobody else does?

you're lying again.

no such admission has been given, and that is demonstrably false.

asked and answered many times. the answer is anti-piracy.

we have to ask why anyone would be so concerned about that. the answer
is because there are those who pirate software (as well as music and
videos), including some on this very newsgroup.

> when no other OS company has ever felt the need to do that to us.

*many* companies put a 'unique identification' in their app or utilize
other anti-piracy measures. it's not new, and goes back to the early
days of personal computing.
