Does anyone use XPrivacyLua - what are your observations?

I was looking for a privacy manager when I found this.

It seems good but the confusing installation instructions have choices.

What choices did you use for XPrivacyLua (for example EdXposed or LSPosed)?

Does XPrivacyLua work well enough without having to spring for the pro?

I used to. Then I got fed up with Android and switched to iOS.

It doesn't really matter. I think I used EdXposed. LSPosed wasn't
available at the time, but there was something else instead.
This was LineageOS on maybe Android 8 or 9, I forget.

The free version was fine and did what it claimed. I did pay for Pro
because I wanted to allow WhatsApp to access specific contacts, without
mining the whole of my addressbook, and Pro allows whitelisitng of starred
contacts. That worked - WhatsApp only saw those contacts.

You can pay for Pro via Paypal, BTW, you don't have to use Google Play.

The same author has NetGuard which is an app firewall, that also worked
well.
