I was raised in such a way where during my childhood (and beyond), I found that I enjoyed joking around and being teased in gentle ways (though not in all ways). You should understand: Not every mental patient is like me. As a non-psychologist, I don't know what "personality traits" are linked to mentally ill people...I certainly suspect that there is a lot of personality variety from mentally ill person to mentally ill person.

My point is that although I don't furiously object to "attractive women showing up to walk past me and maybe say hi" given a (possibly bogus) "mysterious claimed local cultural problem perhaps involving shadowy corporate and government threats that has prevented all local citizens from befriending or conversing with me for more than 10 seconds" assertion that might be floating around in a sense, I really cannot guarantee you anything regarding what other mentally ill people and doctors would think of this. Some psych doctors might despise you even more than their patients do.

I am keenly aware of what a substitute good is, and I am "immune" in a sense to harm from (some) psychological abuse and "schizophrenic symptom imitation," although I do object to these. Many other mental patients might be much less tolerant of community circumstances than I am.

If you have no way to fix the problems and you live here, then as they've sort of said in Jason Bourne movies, "Your argument is not with me." As I would say, though, "You should probably move away and get out Virginia, ASAP.." In particular, I assert: If you don't ever want to socialize with any mentally disabled people, you are unwise to live in the state of Virginia, given what has happened here, repeatedly.

If you have no value to add to mental health concerns in the area, via delegation or direct action, I assert that you may be facing "hidden danger," which although it may not take the form of violence if it strikes you one day (and, chances are, I hope it doesn't strike you violently, for your sake), you are collecting a very bad reputation and building very bad habits if you are participating in this.

Maybe there really is a "secret threat" preventing socialization with mental patients around here. It doesn't infuriate me that much, because I can deal with it pretty well. Just think about what sort of secret watch lists (e.g., anti-Semitic-US-citizen-type watch lists) you might be getting put on if are you living in the area, doing nothing to help ailing mentally ill people who have been outrageously hurt here, claiming to be unable to fix the problem, and adding a little bit of "substitute good + mood improvement" value to one mental patient--me--but doing nothing to help anyone else who is mentally ill in the area.

This is a fair warning, I think. I am not a doctor and don't have a deep understanding of doctor motivations (including "anger on behalf patients" or "anger based on imperfect professional activity achievement") or doctor skills. Again: If you can't fix the problem of mentally ill people never socializing in this area, you should remember the comment I heard: "Clean it up or move out." I am trying to do both of these activities, and I am one of the victims.

A succinct way to put this that you may not like:

"Are you a Virginia anti-Semite-type person, a Virginia Jewish-type-person, or a Virginia missionary who is trying to help the anti-Semites reform and/or get out of 'Virginia the metaphorical country?'"

I argue: You cannot say you are in Category #3 if you are unwilling to be open to friendships with mentally ill people in Virginia.

(Yes, very many people have been deported from the entire USA for less serious actions than what you've done, from a law-breaking perspective.)
