Some of you will remember that I prefer Start11 to Classic Shell. For
anyone interested in trying it (I think it still has a 30-day free
trial), it's now on sale for $2.99.

I have been using it successfully for some months.

On two other machines I have Startallback also with success.

Startallback is found here -- https://www.startallback.com/

A piece of advice to anyone using this and similar programs.
Windows updates can easily (as they easily have done) clash with them.
Ergo, whenever you get some new anomaly, first thing to do is to disable
the shell you're using.

Possibly, but 'I've never run into such a problem, and I've been using
Start8, Start10, and Start11 since the first days of Windows 8.

Yes, that's always worth trying.
