....because Google Groups is causing an issue with my subscription to
this group specifically.

For anyone interested, when for some reason I couldn't post using
Thunderbird and AIOE, I added CMA to my Google Groups, but it decided to
send me every post as a separate email...

....and then continued to do so even after I'd selected the option for
"No email" via the Google Groups web page.

So this is a test to see if I can delete the incoming emails in my mail
client.

Wait, are you subscribed to a usenet group as an email list via google groups?

Why not just subscribe to it *as* a usenet group using aioe or e-s or some other
usenet server?

Normally, that's what I do do. It's what I'm doing now.

But there was a brief period where TBird was crashing on my Mac and
until I got it sorted, I used Google Groups.

I still find GG useful if I'm away from my own system, so I don't want
to tear it down.

But it seems like the issue has been resolved. My own test and indeed,
your post didn't get emailed to me.
