Android 11 I think i have, Xiaomi MIUI 12,

Using the default text program.

I wanted to see a text again and tapped it. Something was in my eye,
maybe I tapped it again. That's all. It disappeared. How can that
happen?

On a related note, how many people use a recycle bin for their texts, or
for anything else?
