National Parks and Wildlife is a great place to read about Darwin award
candidates. "Tourist [seriously injured, killed] while trying to take
selfie with [bear, elk, bison, deer, puma]."

And there's a reason the geysers and hot springs are fenced off. Just in
Yellowstone there several minor scaldings, two or three serious, and the
occasional death, from people trying to get close to get pictures
breaking through the thin crust. I know it happens world wide.

Didn't intend to open a can of worms (re ot "walking":), leading to
so many followups, by mentioning this little pak workaround.
And IANAL also, but at least in the US this wouldn't be considered
illegal, per se. Rather, it would be considered a contract violation
(assuming the contract's wording actually prohibits it), not a crime,
and would be judiciated in a civil court, >>not<< in criminal court.
So the police ain't coming after nobody for doing this. Whoever
owns those rights to vax/vms at this time would have to sue you.

Bison are not to be trifled with. As the Lakota say, "do not
pet the fluffy cows."

I'm in East Kent, in the UK. They have recently fenced off an area about
two miles away that has been home to four bison for a little while now.

They are getting more.

I rode an ATV thru a herd of bison on Kodiak Island during a 7 hour
ATV ride. My sister even stopped to take pictures. The bison just
stood there ignoring us and continuing their grazing.

Words I _really_ _really_ love seeing in the middle of nowhere:

BULL IN FIELD

:-) (although it's most certainly :-( at the time I see one of those signs...)

Turns out I can be rather agile at moving across a field when suitably
motivated. :-)

[To readers outside the UK, in the UK, there are designated rights of
way across some private land in the countryside, but farmers are also
