Hi.

First, if you haven't looked in a while, how do you know if the
road map has been updated? As far as I can see, there is no date
in the road map itself, neither the HTML or PDF versions.

Second, how does this prediction stand today?

[2022] July-November
Additional Layered Products and Open Source Applications
Additional native compilers
C, COBOL, and C++ (Phase 2 – VMS Extensions)

There's a C++ kit in the service portal dated 4 days ago, though I've
seen no announcement about it. I did see an announcement for a VMSI18N
kit a couple of days ago and there was a DECNet kit a couple of weeks
ago. Various other things have been released in Q3 and Q4. So, as usual,
the dates in the roadmap do not align perfectly with actual release
dates, but they aren't that far off and things are coming out in a
steady trickle.

OK, thanks! I haven't really looked there.
We have no real interest until there is a native Cobol available.
If we have any real interest at all, we need to discuss that... :-)

You don't. :-(

I sent email to VSI about this recently, along with the reaons why putting
the date in there is so important. I was promised that the issues I raised
would be passed on to VSI management, but it looks like nothing came of it. :-(

Oh well. At least I tried to get it fixed.

Simon.
