Has anyone else been experiencing wonky Smart Resume on recorded shows?

For the past month or so, when I am watching a recorded show and use the
Smart Resume to skip over ads, it consistently Fast-forwards to the
proper place (I see a flash of the screen), then resets back 30-40
seconds. I have to wait for the recorded time indicator to start
counting up again (~3 seconds), then I can Fast-forward manually to the
proper place where the show resumes.

I don't see that, rather my screen especially in x3 or x4 speed, will run way over the stopping point and then back track to the proper
stopping point. Rarely do I miss more than a second of a show, rather I see a second or 2 of the ads. All this is not enough to nit pick
over (for me).
