"ubiquiti" is the Mint Installer program (i.e. when you run "Install
Linux Mint"). Guess they haven't updated it in a while.

Thanks for that. When I tried it I got:
Linux Mint 19 "Tara" - Release amd64 20180717

However, on this laptop I have the following in a post made 14/02/2016:
"This afternoon I installed 17.2 Rafaela/Cinnamon/64 as I had it on a
DVD..."

I checked again and found from another post that I had installed 19 from
a live USB stick on 13/09/2018.

So, just for clarity, $ sudo cat /var/log/installer/media-info gave the
the release date of the latest version installed clean. If there was a
previous version, that info will no longer exist due to the clean
install, and it will also not give you the date of that clean install.
The date shown in Nemo against /media-info showed the date of installation.
