Has anyone connected one of these to OpenVMS? I've got basic printing working, but can't get any features other than basic printing enabled.

Defining a setup and inserting it into the TLB doesn't seem to do anything useful. I know I'm probably missing something very basic here.

VMS 9.2-1 on a MAC using Fusion

Documentation isn't very helpful (could only locate the System Managers Guide for 2.5, the installed version is 2.8-2)

One way would to be spool through GhostScript. I think it can do Brother printers.

I believe that there is GhostScript for VMS, though maybe not as up to date as others.

Duplex printing, grey bars fpr text printg etc. do work here. I checked

Those settings didn't change anything.

I have a work around for duplex with portrait or Landscape - I print with the data type set to PCL, and have defined a set up for both cases that accomplishes what I want:

$ PDL :== "PRINT/PARA=(DATA_TYPE=PCL)/SETUP=DUPLEX_LANDSCAPE"
$ PDP :== "PRINT/PARA=(DATA_TYPE=PCL)/SETUP=DUPLEX_PORTRAIT"
$!

not ideal, but workable for now...
