"Ladapo, who leads Florida's Department of Health, said his department's
recommendation would be the first of its kind in the country.

The announcement came after a 90-minute discussion among 10 doctors

It was a convenient way for Omicron DeSantis to sweep the 70,000+ Floridian
deaths under the rug. Nothing to see here. COVID theater.

That “Surgeon General” Ladapo and Robert Malone were there speaks volumes.
DeSantis frames every move. Floriduh.

WTF?

How old are you?
Do you realize all you did to refute facts you hate was childish name calling?

Did you even notice that you provide _zero_ factual cites for your beliefs?
*None of you iKooks can formulate an _adult_ response to facts you hate.*

Personally I'd like to know more detail of _why_ they claim what they do.
But that kind of _adult_ discussion isn't likely with you iKooks abounding.

You are seriously clueless…no a troll. As I said, but you lack
comprehensive skills AND requisite contextual knowledge to fathom it:

“It was a convenient way for Omicron DeSantis to sweep the 70,000+
Floridian deaths under the rug. Nothing to see here. COVID theater.
That “Surgeon General” Ladapo and Robert Malone were there speaks volumes.
DeSantis frames every move. Floriduh.”

Read every word very slowly. Then STFU!

Florida is merely positioning in the race to the bottom in many ways. We
have stiff competition with Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. We will dive
deeper. Can we become more disgusting than Texas? Perhaps.

How many of you read today's report from the CDC today
on the efficacy of this year's flu vaccine?

HINT: It sucked.

Here's a direct quote in the summary of the CDC results published today.
"Based on data from 3,636 children, adolescents, and adults with
acute respiratory infection during October 4, 2021–February 12, 2022,
*seasonal influenza vaccination did not reduce the risk* for outpatient
respiratory illness caused by influenza A(H3N2) viruses that have
predominated so far this season."

REF
*Interim Estimates of 2021–22 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Effectiveness — United States, February 2022*
<https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/pdfs/mm7110a1-H.pdf>

"Overall, vaccine effectiveness (VE) against medically attended
outpatient ARI associated with influenza A(H3N2) virus was 16%
(95% CI = −16% to 39%), which is considered not statistically
significant. This analysis indicates that *influenza vaccination*
*did not reduce the risk for outpatient medically attended illness*
with influenza A(H3N2) viruses that predominated so far this season. "

You missed this part -

"CDC continues to recommend influenza vaccination when
VE against outpatient illness is reduced because a growing
body of evidence suggests that influenza vaccination can avert
serious outcomes, including hospitalization, ICU admission,
and death, among persons who are vaccinated but still become
infected (6). In addition, vaccination is likely to prevent illness or
serious complications of infection with other influenza
viruses that might circulate later in the season, including
influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and B viruses (6)."

Notice that they surmised that as that was _not_ part of the study.
What that says above is the vaccine works against the ones they aimed at.

But they missed.
That's just a fact.

Effectiveness of influenza vaccines has always been hit or miss due to
predicting strains and the problems of drift and shift in the HA head.

The COVID vaccinations were far more effective than the typical flu shot.
That effectiveness based on the original Wuhan spike matching has declined
due to…wait for it…evolution. Plus the neutralizing antibodies, to the
extent they match variants, wane over time since our immune systems must
not overcommit resources to maintaining high titers. The fallback is on
memory B cells having benefits from affinity maturation to broaden future
antigen matching repertoires plus the resilience of T-cell response due to
the way they parse epitopes differently.

If we could pump out variant matched vaccines in real time the higher
effectiveness would hold. But still better success than typical flu
seasons. Yet flu shots are still
a good idea to the extent they successfully match the prevalent strains.
Evolution is contingent (Omicron presumed either mouse derived or rapidly
evolved in the immune compromised) and unpredictable. Thankfully bird flu
has a huge problem transmitting between people.

Yup.
This one missed.

Really bad.
It didn't do anything.

Luckily, covid physical separation methods worked far better than the vax.
> The COVID vaccinations were far more effective than the typical flu shot.

Well, you don't seem to know that your statement is dead wrong.
For adults maybe.
Not for kids.

The hoi polloi, which you are, don't even realize there is a difference.
And yet, that difference is astoundingly huge.

The hoi polloi are ignorant.
They don't read the latest papers from the CDC like I do.

Every single day.
Just like I read up on Apple zero-day bugs every single day.

That's why I know about Apple and Covid more than any of you do.

Most people think all vaccines work like they think the flu vaccine works.

If it's a fact, and not clickbait, the wackos like Hemidactylus feel
that anyone speaking reliable scientific facts must be a nutcase (to them).

Why?
I don't know why.

I suspect the child-like belief systems of these wackos like Hemidactylus
don't have any room for facts, so they think anyone who quotes the facts
inside of a CDC paper that was published that same day, is a "nutcase".

Why do these wackos like Hemidactylus feel all facts must be from nutcases?

It's interesting I said I got the Pfizer drug three times already.
And yet, these iKooks can't comprehend any facts they simply don't like.

I even said many times my entire immediate family got the drug injected.
They asked me and I told them what I thought they should _decide_ to do.

Notice these nutcases like Hemidactylus can't comprehend what I just said.
*Choice*

These nutcases like Hemidactylus think it must be _forced_ into your body.
*Your Body, _their_ Choice*

Notice how wacko these nutcases like Hemidactylus truly are.

HINT: It's the same reason that wackos like Hemidactylus are iKooks.

I understand you iKooks probably better than you understand yourselves.

You own a belief system no different than a held-back fifth grader does who
still believes in Santa Claus even as the kids around him are grasping the
facts.

Kids, up until about fifth grade, can't separate fact from fiction.
If the advertising on a coca cola can has a Santa, they believe it's real.

You're like those kids.
You just haven't gotten past the fifth grade.

You're like that held-back bully who shouts "liar liar pants on fire"
whenever someone informs you of the fact that Santa Claus doesn't exist.

You're _entire_ strongly held belief systems are based on _zero_ facts.
It's why you're an iKook after all.
--
The reason they're child-like iKooks is BECAUSE they have the confluence of
low IQ, low self esteem & no education such that they can't think logically.

See attached PDF...
*Safety, tolerability and viral kinetics during SARS-CoV-2 human challenge in young adults*
<https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-022-01780-9#Sec9>

It's billed as the world's first human challenge.
Takeaways of this study which went from March 2021 to about September.
- Small study (36 young adults), none of whom had any antibodies or vax prior and healthy & no exposure to SARS-COV-1 or SARS-COV-2 (two were excluded so it turned out to be 34).
- 18 caught Covid (slightly more than half); 16 of which had symptoms
- A bit less than half never got sick and never developed antibodies
- 83% of the those who did get sick lost some sense of smell (9 people couldn't smell at all)
- Each received the same "single 10um drop" of fluid inserted in their nose via a long tube
- Of those 18, viral load had no effect on symptoms (weird!)
- "There was no correlation between the amount of viral shedding by qPCR or FFA and symptom score."
- remdesivir was given to 1/3rd but it made no difference
- shedding happened two days after infection
- shedding occurs before symptoms (duh - that's how most viruses work)
- Virus was detected in 40 hours at the back of the throat
- Virus took 58 hours to show up in nose swabs (at weaker levels also)
- Average shedding was 6.5 days (some shed for double that)
- Asymptomatic people shed as much as symptomatic people did (ask the WHO about that, Maria Kerkhovich in particular, if you recall)
- Home tests worked before 75% of the virus had been generated
