The BDOS doesn't seem to care about case per se, but since the CCP is driving this, the uppercase requirement sticks. Arguable it's a gap in MBASIC for not uppercasing file names itself before calling the BDOS also.

Hey Bill,

My name is Ryan and I'm a student from New Jersey. I've been looking to contact you for a while now. I believe you have some important information about the operating system 86-DOS (or "QDOS"/"Quick n' Dirty Operating System" as you disliked calling it), by Seattle Computer Products, which I've been researching in my free time.

Please email me at s101885 AT outlook DOT com. I've contacted a few relevant people (SCP: Tim Paterson, Pat Opalka, and family members of Rod Brock, Microsoft: Bob O'Rear and Andrea Lewis, IBM: Lewis Eggebrecht) and I have a lot of internal info you may be interested in.

Thank you for your time!

- Ryan Ottignon
