Yep, and how you think across multiple devices synchronizing to the same
account. If you delete on one sync'ed devices, well, you asked to have
those changes sync'ed to the other devices. If you don't want deletes
on one device to sync those changes to other devices, don't sync those
devices. The sync service does what you did, and across multiple
devices. It doesn't have to think. You made the choice.

I made no such choice. An analogy:

You have filing cabinets full of paperwork. You duplicate everything and send it to me at another office for backup incase of fire. I store copies. One of us runs out of room and throws out some old paperwork. You would assume the other papers in the other office don't magically disappear.
