Hello everyone,
I am trying to implement a script, which would allow the DCL scripts debugging (at least minimally). What I target is like this: you start this script passing the name of a script to debug as the first argument and the arguments to pass to it as p2 to p8 (yes, it would allow one argument less...). Then it should read the "source" line by line and execute them displaying the actual command with all substitutes , the resulting $status and the value of a symbol if the statement looks like $a = f(b).
Everything is ok - but one major problem, and this problem is blocks. I cannoot execute a statement $if x .EQ. y, and then the next statement $, and so on - DCL does not like it.
Any ideas about a way-around? I believe it would be helpful for everybody!
