Hi!

I want to install Vivaldi browser, but if I open mintinstall and then
search for it, nothing appears. I downloaded the deb installer from the
website, but Mint says that "the same package is available from a
software channel". Where am I supposed to find it? When I search for
"Vivaldi" nothing shows up! If I install the browser from the deb file,
will I have problems with the future updates?

There is a .ppa which comes from vivaldi.com

It doesn't seem to distinguish between ubuntu v/s any more than the .deb
at vivaldi does.

I downloaded "vivaldi-stable_3.6.2165.40-1_amd64.deb" from somewhere
or another, and clicking on the package installs it. If, and it is,
installed on my computer I get a message, "Error: A later version is
already installed"

Using Release Linux Mint 20 Ulyana 64-bit, MATE 1.24.0

Would that be related to a dependency it is pulling in,
and the dependency is older than the version already
installed on the computer ?

The main one that interested me was their built-in mail client (and Vivaldi
email addresses). But Vivaldi also stresses privacy and "customizability."

I installed the Vivaldi browser/email client in Mint 18 (yes not the
latest) following download from the website and all is fine
