There is an article in today's _Orlando Sentinel_ about the estate of
Alan Ginsburg donating $10 million to the planned Holocaust museum
expansion project here in Orlando.

At first I wondered why a New York born, but San Francisco associated,
poet ("Howl" and others) would be involved in an Orlando project. I
looked up "Alan Ginsburg" and finally noted that the poet is Alan
Ginsberg and Alan Ginsburg was actually an Orlando resident.

This makes me wonder why both spellings exist. Is is just a matter of
the names being transcribed differently at some time in the past, or
has the "berg" and "burg" some meaning that I'm not aware of? There
are other names that end with either "berg" or "burg".

Not a problem. Almost all of us do the same thing now and then. I know
I have.
