Confused. Phone browser doesn't work but laptop using phone as hotspot
works fine.

This has caused trouble off and on, in my Samsung A30.

I've restarted the phone but it's the same.

The webbrowser says "This site can't be reached.
r.internet.apps.samsung.com's DNS address could not be found.
Diagnosing the problem. "

At the same time I'm using he phone as a hotspot and everythign is
working. Of course maybe Firefox on the laptop is not using the same
DNS server, even though it's internet source is a Samsung hotspot?

When I was out today, I had no laptop, and the phone didn't work then
either, so I couldn't do look up anything.

When I tap on the home screen termperature, I get the temp prediction
for the next 12 hours or so, and the next 6 or 7 days. OTOH, from that
screen when I tap on More, it tries to use the browser and again says
site ca't be reached.

Networkd Signal Info varies between saying "Can not get external IP" and
saying there is upload and download traffic, although now it only says
the first of these. Network Cell Info is back to showing a signal
strength of -49, which is as high as that app goes and it's what it
shows when there is a problem. When I try to use it for a speed test
it sys "Error 204 Unable to get IP Addresses Stage 0/0 There as an error
during the test. Try again later.

My conclusion is that something went wrong with
r.internet.apps.samsung.com's entry in the DNS server, but that seems
hard to believe thaty it would be bad for a couple hours today and other
times previously.

And satellite view and street view don't work on google maps on the
phone but do on the laptop using the phone's hotspot for data.

Have you tried other browsers?

I don't think i have other browsers on this phone. I could have
intalled one.

Now becuase I want to try my other phone under great-use conditions,
I've moved the sims around and I can't use the phone under discussion
until I get back to the US in 2 weeks. I'll see then, and even dl
another browser.

Your Samsung phone will have the (Samsung) 'Internet' browser in the
'Samsung' tray [1] of apps and the (Google) 'Chrome' browser in the
'Google' tray of apps.

Oh, you're right. I switched phones, but when I get back to the US on
Friday, I'll be using this phone again and I'll test it .
