I suppose you just connect the phone via usb and open it in Dolphin. If
it doesn't work, try gnome and Nautilus.

I use xfce/thunar to make a usb connection to my 6s. A desktop icon
appears, and I mount and refresh.
ISTR that it won't transfer 'unknown' file types and I had to
rename .asc file
to .pdf - but that might have been some other phone.
After transfer I use free FEFileExplorer to move
/rename/view/access files
or send them to another app.
FE will also import via sshfs - I've done that too.
You could upload it to a web server and use a browser.

Allow access to your phone after attaching it to the usb port and try to
browse using dolphin and when you get the "can not be found message",
close dolphin and then open dolphin back up. Browsing the phone now
works for me. I tried it a few times and it has not failed using
openSUSE Leap 15.2 with KDE (plasma) desktop and Samsung A32 5G phone.

Hi
No issues here with GNOME and iPhone, mounts Documents and Photos as
two folders..

You can always run the python built in web server with the files your
wanting in for example ~/Public and browse to for example
http://localhost:18080

cd ~/Public
/usr/bin/python3 -m http.server 18080

in tumbleweed i use for iphone file transfer (never tried with .pdf):

install with yast:
ifuse + imobildevices6 + imobildevices-tools

then connect with usb and mount it:
ifuse /mnt/iphone

umount with:
fusermount -u /mnt/iphone

the directory /mnt/iphone must exist and be accesable (i think so)
