This file is getting huge. Every so many hundredths of a second, this is popping up.
(cinnamon:1645): St-CRITICAL **: 11:01:16.632: st_theme_node_render_resources: assertion 'width > 0 && height > 0' failed

I have changed from my personal theme for desktop, borders, the controls to standard mint-y-dark theme.
I've remove all applets and desklets I've installed.
I even shutdown thunderbird.

But it keeps coming second by second.

I can't figure out what's doing it.

Any ideas?

Mint 20.3 cinnamon 64bit. Latest updates.

Al

Looks like some image is empty or does not exist.
Have a look at Melange log.
Super+L to open Melange (Cinnamon debugging tool).

Nothing there. Only a few lines, ~50.
My google found the same info that it seems there is an image with a bad location like C:/ or /home/alan\docs etc.
But stopping every item that I can doesn't seem to do anything. Even wallpaper set to Una folder not mine.

I'll keep plugging along.

PS I have a copy of linux 20.3 on a thumb drive and I booted it up. All of my themes I wrote produce no errors. I
even load settings off my HD onto the thumb drive and still no issues. So it's nothing I wittingly did on purpose.

Thanks.

Found it. I cleared the thumbnail cache. ~/cache/thumbnails 3 folders. Just deleted the data.

Well something learned. I've been editing hundreds of icons for my desktop themes and probably that many new
thumbnails and the constant mass editing with scripts and moving the icons from folder to folder just got linux in a
tizzy.

But thanks again for you somewhat push in the right direction.

With dconf I set
org.cinnamon.desktop.thumbnail-cache
maximum-age: 180 -> 10
