You don't understand sd cards and you don't understand the walled garden.

For example, you said sd cards are only used for supplementing internal
memory when almost nobody uses sd cards for that purpose simply because
large sized internal memory is dirt cheap nowadays on Android cellphones.

If you can't install ungoogled chromium on iOS in minutes and set it up as
your default web browser, then that's proof of the walled garden, whether
or not you understand your own words that claim the wall doesn't exist.

And that was only one simple example. The Apple walled garden is everywhere
you look on iOS & because it's so obviously everywhere - you don't see it.

You're no different than Trump and his many supporters who read Fox News.
It's impossible to have any meaningful discussion with people like you.

very much false. as it turns out, those who use sd cards with android
phones normally use it as adopted storage rather than deal with the
hassles of moving stuff back and forth.

> simply because

as it is for iphones, which means there's little need for additional
cards.

there's also the cloud, which is effectively infinite storage, and with
wifi and 5g, it's quite fast.

What's Trumpian about you is you can't defend your own false narrative
without claiming everything that has worked forever has to be changed.

You're the one loudly proclaiming the walled garden doesn't exist when you
then in the very next sentence prove it's everywhere on iOS, even down to
the simplest of tasks like installing an app and setting it as the default.

You're the one who proclaimed that sd cards are only used for a purpose
that almost nobody uses them for, showing you don't understand their use.

What's Trumpian about you isn't that you don't understand how prevalent the
walled garden is, nor that you don't understand how sd cards are used.

It's not possible to have any meaningful conversation with people like you.

It's obvious from that statement that you've never used an Android phone.

Far more than you. For example: the need for SD cards in smartphones is
niche - at best. Apple of course walked it by as not needed at all.

That's not what I said at all. Please do pay attention.

No - it just means nobody has wasted their precious lift on that v. of
Chromium for iOS. I don't care if they ever do.

iOS is a well managed environment - and designed to be so - to reduce
risks of bad s/w getting onto iOS phones.

You only see what you want to see. You're absolutely blind to reality.

I've installed hundreds of apps under iOS. And set some as default for
some uses.

I fully understand their use in many areas. And I know dozens of people
who use Android phones. Haven't heard mention of SD cards from any of
them of late (like years). Some of them are engineers, some electronics
techs.

It's very possible - your problem is you want us to succumb to your
position - and we point out how that is wrong.

In the end: do what is right for you (which is probably stick to Android
and with the money you believe you're saving, buy Apple stock).

You probably can't understand how Trumpian you are when you say that
repeatedly and then in the very next sentence you say you can't install a
simple web browser on iOS like Ungoogled Chromium & set it to the default.

That you can't do that *IS* the walled garden, whether you know it or not.
You can't use iOS for more than ten seconds without running into that wall.

Apple's walled garden is everywhere - you can't miss it (well, *you* can).

> And I know dozens of people
> who use Android phones.

Every statement from you shows you don't understand anything about Android.

That's like Trump saying he never lost an election since the entire idea
you just wrote only exists in your mind and nowhere else does it exist.

> Some of them are engineers, some electronics
> techs.

Every statement from you shows you don't know how Android uses sd cards
when all you do is $15 card to use it as easily moveable external storage.

Everything about you is the same as it is with Trump where you write a
narrative that doesn't make any sense except to you and people like you.

> It's very possible - your problem is you want us to succumb to your
> position - and we point out how that is wrong.

I already said from the beginning that I'd be wrong if you can show me that
the walled garden doesn't exist simply by installing Ungoogled Chromium.

And you can't.
So it's not me who is wrong. It's you who is wrong and slinging insults.

> In the end: do what is right for you (which is probably stick to Android
> and with the money you believe you're saving, buy Apple stock).

Again you're like Trump in that you bring up Apple stock because you don't
understand the walled garden & because you don't understand how sd is used.

By bringing up Apple stock you're saying to me "Make America Great Again",
since you're wrong on everything, to you, it's "Make Apple Great Again."

Like Trump, in one sentence you make a claim that goes against reality,
where that claim flatly denies the existence of the walled garden, and
then, everything after that shows the walled garden is everywhere in iOS.

What you did creating a false narrative is exactly what Trump does.

>> And that was only one simple example. The Apple walled garden is everywhere

You don't realize you're no different than Trump by you first claiming the
walled garden doesn't exist and then you backing up that it does by saying
the walled garden is a well managed environment - which it is.

Do you even realize how Trump like you are in every falsehood you claimed?
>> You're no different than Trump and his many supporters who read Fox News.
>> It's impossible to have any meaningful discussion with people like you.
>
> You only see what you want to see. You're absolutely blind to reality.

If I'm "blind to reality", how was it that it was so simple to prove that
you don't know how sd cards are being used, that you think all technology
that works must be replaced, and the iOS walled garden exists everywhere?

You then told me to by Apple stock as your "Make Apple Great Again" slogan
to cover up for the fact your narrative is based on what you read on Fox.

Every speech from you shows you are indistinguishable from how Trump is.

Not available in the App Store - please contact the developer and have
him release it for iOS. (I have no need for it).

Or - given that it's open source - get to releasing it yourself.

You're quite pathetic. See above.

Not at all. It's not my issue if the makers of the app you refer to
don't release it on the App Store for iOS.

Plenty of other browsers to pick from.

> Apple's walled garden is everywhere - you can't miss it (well, *you* can).

Again, you're clueless about what a walled garden is.

Hmm, well got along with Android just fine when I had an Android phone

Your obsession with Trump is probably something you should consult a
mental health specialist over. I think you have daddy issues.

All sorts of cards at different price points. This includes OS-less
Raspberry Pi applications for high dynamic intertial/GPS integration.
As that produces a veritable torrent of test data, need high speed -
high capacity SD.

Others, not so much. (Images/video).

IOW what you 'cast' as what I know or not is just a groundless and
pitiful attack.

Really weak on your part!

Nothing about you is interesting enough to mention.

Will do - please contact the developer and have them issue it via the
iOS app store. It's there for a reason.

Or, if you have the skills, aptitude and time do so yourself (if it is
as open source as you claim, only a few days of toil to adopt it to iOS
would be needed - less if it's already been adapted to, eg, Mac OS).

In the meantime, since there a bunch of other browsers to choose from on
App Store, I could care less about the app you mention.

Hypocrite. (Your Trump issue refers).

I use SD for various things all of the time - just not with my iPhone or
iPad. Do with 2 drones, Mac, Rasp Pi, etc. Not just for image store.

> By bringing up Apple stock you're saying to me "Make America Great Again",

That is the most pathetic retort base I've seen in a long time. Must
make you feel good. Makes everyone else laugh at you.

IAC - I've wasted far too much of my time on you, so plonk you go.

It is obvious that you don't understand anything about how iOS works.
It's even more obvious that you don't understand how Android works.

You can't understand that app isn't on the Apple App Store.
You can't understand that app isn't on the Google Play Store either.

Like Trump, you can't understand how it's so easily installed on Android
and yet it's impossible to install on iOS because of the walled garden.

The same walled garden your false narrative denies existing.

> please contact the developer and have
> him release it for iOS.

It wouldn't matter because Apple won't allow it on their App Store.
Neither does Google.

Your entire false narrative depends on you not understanding that.

> (I have no need for it).

I said from the beginning I could choose apps until the end of time and
you'd have to make excuses for why you don't want every single one of them.

What's super obvious is you do not know how iOS works. Nor Android.
In fact, your false narrative *DEPENDS* on you not knowing how they work.

> Or - given that it's open source - get to releasing it yourself.

What you don't realize is your false narrative depends on your ignorance.

It's impossible to install on iOS *ONLY* because of the walled garden.
It's impossible to set as the default *ONLY* because of the walled garden.

The walled garden that your Trumpian false narrative denies existing.

>> You probably can't understand how Trumpian you are when you say that

>
> You're quite pathetic. See above.

You call me pathetic because *YOU* denied the walled garden exists
and I quite easily showed you a very simple proof that it's everywhere.

Why do you call me pathetic because *YOU* don't know how iOS works?
>> That you can't do that *IS* the walled garden, whether you know it or not.
>> You can't use iOS for more than ten seconds without running into that wall.

Everything about you is what Trump does in defending false narratives.

I could pick a hundred apps that aren't on the Google Play Store or on the
Apple App Store because they are better than the Google & Apple apps.

Each one you'd have to come up with a different false narrative to explain
why it's only on iOS that you can't install them due to the walled garden.

Why is it that you clearly show you understand nothing about iOS?

> Plenty of other browsers to pick from.

OK. Install the Guardian's venerable Tor Privacy Browser on iOS please.
And then set it as the default.
>> Apple's walled garden is everywhere - you can't miss it (well, *you* can).
>
> Again, you're clueless about what a walled garden is.

Why do you call me clueless because *YOUR* entire argument depends on the
false narrative that the walled garden doesn't exist (when every sentence
after that from you shows that the walled garden is everywhere in iOS)?
>>> And I know dozens of people who use Android phones.
>>
>> Every statement from you shows you don't understand anything about Android.
>
> Hmm, well got along with Android just fine when I had an Android phone
> for a while.

No you did not. Nobody who owned Android would be as clueless as you
clearly are as to how the sd card works. You don't even know how iOS works.

You act like Trump in every way.

>> That's like Trump saying he never lost an election since the entire idea
>> you just wrote only exists in your mind and nowhere else does it exist.
>
> Your obsession with Trump is probably something you should consult a
> mental health specialist over. I think you have daddy issues.

I wonder if you realize you haven't said a single correct narrative about
either iOS or Android & because you realized I showed you wrong on every
count, that now you call me psychotic - just like Trump does to people.

Everything false narrative from you is *EXACTLY* how Trump does the same.

> Will do - please contact the developer and have them issue it via the
> iOS app store. It's there for a reason.

How can you remain ignorant that the whole point was that the app is NOT in
either the Google Play Store or in the Apple App Store?

It's not there because it's *BETTER* than the apps that Google and Apple
provide so they do not want these hundreds of apps in their app store.

What you don't have the ability to understand is why the Android user has
no problem installing these hundreds of apps and the iOS user can't do it.

The reason it's impossible on iOS is because of the walled garden.
That same walled garden you emphatically deny existing.

>> By bringing up Apple stock you're saying to me "Make America Great Again",
>> since you're wrong on everything, to you, it's "Make Apple Great Again."
>
> That is the most pathetic retort base I've seen in a long time. Must
> make you feel good. Makes everyone else laugh at you.

No. It's *YOU* who brought up Apple stock using the false narrative that it
doesn't matter that the walled garden is preventing you from doing things.

What's pathetic is you can't understand how iOS works if you can't
understand that everything that is impossible on iOS that is easy on
Android is *BECAUSE* of the walled garden (which you deny existing).

The only way to get an iPhone to work is to write all the apps yourself?

Yes. You broke the code! Congratulations, now like any 7 year old with
an iPhone you can write or modify complex open source s/w like the
billion + people who use iPhones.
