I see a couple people here are using this software to make it easier to
run various distros from one USB device (I think), this is new to me so
I am asking, does this make it easier and quicker to go this route?
If so I might give it a try, I have a USB3 64GB Sandisk Cruzer, Would
this be suitable"

Thanks. Rene

Yes; ventoy does a good job at that. I previously used the Win Yumi,
but Ventoy is *much* more reliable. Yumi 'breaks' easily during remove
and replace (the new replaced .iso doesn't boot), whereas ventoy doesn't.

My experience has been w/ older 16 & 32G sticks, but I'm sure the 64
will do just fine.

I'm still looking for an ideal persistence strategy. I can't figure out
why sometimes mkusb gives me a good result and sometimes it doesn't. I
haven't tried ventoy's but it doesn't sound like it would do. I think
it is just another data space instead of system.

64GB would be very suitable, prepare yourself for a great experience,
and I read that it had some kind of persistence, think of it, having 30
Linux Distros and Flavors that you can boot into.

Good show, I installed Ventoy on the 64GB Sandisk and installed 5 Linux
distros including Knoppix 9.1 for kicks, they all worked great with the
exception of 9.1 which threw a black screen.
looks like a great time saver when you want to play with a bunch of distros.
