I'm having problems with my bibliography. I'm copying articles out of a
newspaper (actually its online version) and ultimately compiling them
into a pdf file.

For example, the article 'Scratching at the wall, voices through the TV,
whispers in the bathroom - the 'cursed' house of Dereham Road' from
https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weird-norfolk-house-haunted-poltergeist-norwich-8006016
has this bibliography entry in my bib file -

- --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
@Online{01960,
author = {Briggs, Stacia and Connor, Siofra},
title = {Scratching at the wall, voices through the TV, whispers in the bathroom - the 'cursed' house of Dereham Road},
date = {2021-05-27},
url = {https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weird-norfolk-house-haunted-poltergeist-norwich-8006016},
urldate = {2021-06-06}}
- --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

And is called from '\addbibresource{/home/boudiccas/research/weird/weird.bib}' in the main file, and this is from the preamble file '\usepackage[backend=biber,style=authoryear,language=auto,doi=true,hyperref=true,backref=true,backrefstyle=two,date=year,maxcitenames=3]{biblatex}'.

Which ultimately gives this entry in the bibliography -

- --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
— (2021f) Scratching at the wall, voices through the TV, whispers in the bathroom - the ’cursed’
house of Dereham Road URL : https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weird-norfolk-house-haunted-
poltergeist-norwich-8006016 (visited on 06/06/2021) (see p. 127)
- --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

So, eventually, how do I get the date of the newspaper article to show in
the bibliography please?

Thanks
Sharon.

Thanks for this Peter.

I have put the exact same details into a testing latex rig and this is
the result when I built the pdf.

- --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
Test (Briggs and Connor 2021)

References
Briggs, Stacia and Siofra Connor (2021). Scratching at the wall, voices through
the TV, whispers in the bathroom - the ‘cursed’ house of Dereham Road.
url: https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weird-norfolk-house-haunted-
poltergeist-norwich-8006016 (visited on 06/06/2021) (cit. on p. 1).
- --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

So if I'm getting a different response than you, it means that it must
be something in the build process, right? I'm using 'pdfbuild' from my
taste of linux website at http://www.sharons.org.uk . (I'm only
including it in case the list software strips it out of my signature.)

So now I'm completely befuddled!

Thanks
Sharon.

But can latemk just give you a bibliography, or glossary, or do 3 repeat
builds one after another?

Yes, exactly that.

I did it manually:
$ xelatex test
$ biber test
$ xelatex test
$ xelatex test

The log file does show biblatex complain that hyperref is not loaded, of
course. Loading it right after biblatex produces the same result but
with links. I also tested it with latexmk and got the same both ways.
