This is the same question as before, but reading back on peoples replies
and my original question, my question wasn't as clear as it could've
been.

What I'm looking for is the date of the article publication showing in
the bibliography that is output into the final PDF document.

For example, the article 'Scratching at the wall, voices through the TV,
whispers in the bathroom - the 'cursed' house of Dereham Road' from
https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weird-norfolk-house-haunted-poltergeist-norwich-8006016
has this bibliography entry in my bib file -

And is called from '\addbibresource{/home/boudiccas/research/weird/weird.bib}' in the main file, and this is from the preamble file '\usepackage[backend=biber,style=authoryear,language=auto,doi=true,hyperref=true,backref=true,backrefstyle=two,date=year,maxcitenames=3]{biblatex}'.

Which ultimately gives this entry in the bibliography output, but this
is not completely what I'm looking for -

With date=year, you explicitly ask biblatex to only show the year when
it displays dates. Remove the option to see the full date
