Why not just use a USB mouse? Are you short USB ports?
I've got a Logitech. $10. Works fine, so there's no point
spending more. On my desktop I use a trackball, but on
a laptop I'm never doing much work.

You can aso get USB multiport extensions, if that helps.

Lots of better choices, I have a Logitech M557 Blue tooth which has been
working great for over 4 years, All my mice are Lociteh as I find they
don't give me any trouble, But you got to remember I paid about $50.00
for this one, it is not a lo end budget mouse.

Do you mean that you have to re-boot the laptop, or just the mouse? I
would expect the mouse to re-connect ok if you turn it off and on again.
Doesn't it?

Have you tried disabling and re-enabling bluetooth on the laptop without
actually re-booting it?

I have a cheap no-name bluetooth mouse which I use with an Android
tablet, and it works ok. [I would prefer USB, but I have a docking
keyboard which hogs all the USB capability - hence BT for the mouse].
