An older version of android says this about newer software (APK),
but newer versions of android also say this about older APKs.

I there any way to bypass/override/adjust?

well, they're in zip format, so copy an apk, rename it to .zip, extract
it and see what's to like/not like ...

THanks. Yes, it seems there is an APKedit app, plus they apparently have a
field for versionnumber to edit, but it is heavily warned against.

But what do I have to lose but the app that won't work?

It seems I can change the Version code in Minfest XML and gradle,
but can I do it with emacs while the apk is still on unix
before installing it? Emacs knows about zip and jar files

(At issue: DWSIM and termux for use on android 4; also change adjust resize
on jasymca for andrid 11 whe it worked on previous androids)
