What useful major app functionality is on Android that is not on iOS?
(each all by its itty bitty self & no rooting/jailbreak allowed)

Here's a listing compiled by Steve and me from another thread.
Separate audio volume controls for different functions
App launcher functionality
Media Players apps
GPS Spoofing apps
File System Browsing apps
Message Scheduling apps
Multiple Users functionality
Home Screen Layout functionality
Home Screen Rotation functionality
App Extraction and Backup functionality
Custom Keyboards functionality
Remote Management functionality
Torrent apps
Individual Application Locking apps
Analog Clock apps
Battery Charge Limit apps
Disable internet access for individual apps, including Wi-Fi functionality
On Screen Call Rejection when Screen is Locked functionality
Ability to set the default messaging app
Ability to set the default phone app
Ability to set the default calendar app
Ability to set the default web browser
Ability to extract & re-install any app on the device
Ability to use that extracted app on any similar device on the planet
Automatic call recording apps
Graphical wi-fi signal strength debugging apps
Graphical cellular signal strength debugging apps
Sideloading functionality
etc.

That's 27 for Android off the top of our heads, and 0 for iOS.

You'd "think" iOS might have app functionality not on Android.
But you'd be wrong.

The reason is...
1. App Developers provide most of the app functionality on computers.
2. Apple restricts what apps iOS users can install; Google can't.
3. Hence, iOS will _never_ have app functionality not already on Android.
4. And, as a result, Android _always_ has more app functionality than iOS.
--
I'm always talking about typical non-rooted non-jailbroken devices,
and we're talking the device, all by its itty bitty self, and we're not
talking about silly marketing gimmicks or trademarked brand names.

here's just a few:

satellite emergency, tap to pay, wifi calling via icloud, roomplan,
continuity & handoff, continuity camera, universal control, bluetooth
pair sync, homekit secure video, stage manager, centerstage, digital
id, safety check, find my iphone when off, bitcode, apple pencil hover,
rotating lockscreen, live activities, clean energy charging magsafe,
homekit, healthkit, gcd, javascript acceleration, thread, matter.

many of those don't need additional apps.

some of them are coming to android at some point.

others are impossible on android.

Your desperate obfuscation tactic, nospam, is completely transparent.

Yet, I care that we come to an _adult_ assessment of the facts, nospam.
Hence, I'm going to respond to your deflection as if you're an adult.

You always cut and paste a list of bullshit from Apple marketing nospam.
You have no idea what any of those Apple buzzwords even mean, nospam.

We are listing app functionality on the phone all by its itty bitty self.

I'll start by listing an Android app functionality, and an app store URL:
App Functionality: GPS location spoofing (all by its itty bitty self)
App Store URL: <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lexa.fakegps>

Now it's your turn to list a single iOS app functionality & app store URL.
App Functionality: (TBD by nospam, on iOS. all by its itty bitty self)
App Store URL: (TBD by nospam, native or an actual URL to an actual app)

This is the question:
*Name an app functionality on iOS that is completely not on Android*
(all by its itty bitty self, and found native or on the App Store today)

What's clear is you're so deathly afraid of this simple question about app
functionality that you _always_ desperately search for a meaningless list
of Apple keywords from some Apple marketing site and paste that crap.

If you actually knew of an app functionality that the iPhone has today, all
by its itty bitty self, nospam, then simply list the most important one.

List it right now.
*Name Just One*
--
HINT: You can't. So in desperation, you paste meaningless Apple bullshit.

Good. Then I'll treat you as if you're an adult to ask you to list the one
you think is most important and then point to the native functionality or
app currently on the Apple App Store that provides that app functionality.

No jailbreaking/rooting required, and the app has to provide the
functionality to the device all by its itty bitty self (no five thousand
dollar computer required, for example, just to get the phone to do it).

I'll continue by listing Android app functionality, and an app store URL
for useful functionality that is completely missing on the other platform.

App Functionality: Graphical Wi-Fi & Cellular signal strength debugging
for all visible access points within the vicinity
App Store URL: <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=make.more.r2d2.cellular_z>

Now it's your turn to list a single iOS app functionality & app store URL.
App Functionality: (TBD by nospam, on iOS. all by its itty bitty self)
App Store URL: (TBD by nospam, native or an actual URL to an actual app)

List it right now.

Jolly Roger wrote:

Hi Jolly Roger,

Have you ever taken any college exams in your life, Jolly Roger?

In a college exam, if you don't know the answer, you can't get out of the
problem simply by telling the professor that he's boring you with facts.

Assuming that, I will treat you as if you're an adult, so I ask you the
same question I asked nospam which is name just one app functionality that
you claim is on iOS that is not on Android (all by its itty bitty self).

*No five thousand dollar computer required just to get an iPhone to work*

Since I'm an adult who will change my mind in an instant if actual proof is
provided (I'm extremely well educated so I know a lot that isn't obvious),
I will practice what I preach by providing you with a working example.

And I'll make this one _verrrrrrrrry_ simple for you Jolly Roger.
One of the _simplest_ possible app functionalities that can be imagined.

App Functionality: Spit out to an editable file all the apps currently
installed, and the App Store URL to each of those apps.
App Store URL: <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.listmyapps>

Now it's your turn to list a single iOS app functionality & app store URL.
App Functionality: (TBD by JR, on iOS. all by its itty bitty self)
App Store URL: (TBD by JR, native or an actual URL to an actual app)

List it right now.
*Name Just One*
--
HINT: You can't. So, in desperation, you become frantically desperate to
deflect the question because you can't find a single app functionality on
iOS that isn't already (usually years ago) already on Android.

I'll continue to treat you as if you're an adult by asking you to back up
your claims, and by further backing up my claim that there will _never_ be
any useful app functionality on iOS that isn't already on Android, while
there will _always_ be useful app functionality on Android that Apple won't
allow on iOS, simply because Apple restricts what apps do. Google can't.

App Functionality: Ability to extract & re-install any app on the device.
App Store URL: <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ytheekshana.apkextractor>

Now it's your turn to list a single iOS app functionality & app store URL
that you claim is on iOS but which is completely missing for Android.
App Functionality: (TBD by nospam, on iOS. all by its itty bitty self)
App Store URL: (TBD by nospam, native or an actual URL to an actual app)

List it right now.

Hint: You can't. You have no response to basic facts other than insults.
That's because you _hate_ that iOS is so crippled compared to Android.
