It's strange that BT are blocking a URL which I then discover is hosting
malware.

If it's hosting malware, download it and upload it to a
scanning site. It's trivial to do, and there is NO risk of being
infected if you are a competent "malware investigator".
Post the results here. Use your own words to describe the
malware, there is no need to post a link to an image or a tracking
site.
The first time you claimed a webpage hosted "malware" it was a
little ad for Nike shoes put there by the web-host.
The second time it was commented out javascript which led
(rather didn't lead) to a parking domain.
So what's the big bad malware this time?
IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
I'm sure you can do it. You've been "investigating" bad guys
for two decades. Or so you claim.
TIA

If you read ALL the posts here you would have seen this posted for
'nospam' already:-

https://ibb.co/FHwVb35

There are four vendors who flagged the URL as malicious.

Look for yourself.

I'm off to bed!

Too drunk to read my request for "no links to images or
tracking sites", huh?
OK, sleep it off.
Download the malware and post YOUR analysis tomorrow, OK?

If Apd confirmed the file was NOT malware, I believe him.
It's probably just a jpg image file created by gd-jpeg v1.0
(using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 82, modified over a year ago, with NO
imbedded malware code.
100% harmless
OTOH, the site owner might allow malicious uploads by third
parties, so you could theoretically find anything there.
I'd never let an online AV monitor which sites I visit. By
uploading personal data, they become worse than some of the malware
they're supposed to protect you from.
See the recent revelation by Avast. They were selling all your
personal information (and even uploaded files from your computer) to
"trusted third parties", contrary to the TOS. They didn't stop doing
that when they were caught, they changed the TOS.
LOL.
Site checking is pointless, IMHO. Check your downloads, not
the site. And NEVER allow automatic downloads of plugins, add-ons,
whatever.
But you probably know that. You don't have BD's 50 years of
"experience" with computers, 20 of which were as a "malware
investigator".

>>
>>Look for yourself.
>>
>>I'm off to bed!

I'm looking forward to BD's analysis of the malicious file he
claims to have found.
He's probably reaching for the paracetamol as we speak, and
downing it with his first cup of alcohol. To steady his hands before
firing up IDA PRO. Maybe he uses x64dbg too?

Used to be one called Kidd Glove or similar. Not very nice to type on, you
used also to get hold of the whole keyboard with one glued on as well, meant
for the blind with big legends in a contrasting colour or very dirty
environments apparently.

Not very hard wearing though.
