I'm trying to get either NordVPN or PIA to work on my Mageia 8 system.

They both connect to the VPN, but I cannot get DNS to work. Has anyone
had problems or success with either?

NordVPN: 3.10.0
PIA: 3.2.06587

also, I can't install NordVPN 3.12.0 because there's no libidn2 installed.

So I checked it out. I have all the IDN2 libraries installed,
but NordVPN is specifically looking for package libidn2. Is there
a way to get dnf to ignore a dependency for this sort of situation?

libidn2 in a 64-bit computer is lib64idn2. Install that package and for
good measure, lib64idn2-devel. I had NordVPN installed and working on
Mageia 8, but since then, I haven't reinstalled it. There is a lot of
info on their Web site.
