Do you use multi-user and/or personal & work profiles?
a. What can you do with them that you like?
b. What does your IT department do with your work profile?

Background...

First I must openly admit I'm completely ignorant of what people like to do
with multiple users and personal/work profiles - simply because almost all
my Android knowledge is empirical and I've never turned either feature on.

However...

For a thread on the fact that there is no comparable iPhone to Android
*There is no comparison possible between what an iPhone & Android does*
<https://groups.google.com/g/comp.mobile.android/c/FAlnvwIihPo>

I temporarily turned on the work profile as an addition to the personal.

This ability to have multiple users and to have each one with a work
profile (perhaps managed by an IT department) and a user profile, is new to
me (as I retired more than 15 years ago when this stuff wasn't there).

However, this is extremely basic stuff that every platform can do.
Right?

I just never used it.
So I have no experience with what we can do with multiple profiles.

For those of you still working in the field, can you help me understand
what you and your company do with the work profile & user profile feature?

Thanks!

I used to manage smart phones (both Android & iOS) for a moderate sized
semiconductor company.

Short summary:

Users could only connect to our corporate network & to corporate apps
through their work profiles.

In addition, we limited which apps could be installed, made certain that
the apps were updated, and wiped the work profile from the phone if an
employee reported the phone lost & when employees left the company.
