Or do I have to go through each release to see them? :( Basically, I
want to know if it is worth using the provided old drivers or upgrade to
the current v471.11 in my almost month old, updated W10 Pro PC? IIRC, my
friend installed the driver from Windows Update. I rarely play computer
games. The current driver seems fine.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

GeForce GTX 750 Ti February 18, 2014

That's a little over seven years ago, the launch.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/176523/

Additional Information
Effective October 2021, Game Ready Driver upgrades, including performance enhancements,
new features, and bug fixes, will be available for systems utilizing

Maxwell, Pascal, Turing, and Ampere-series GPUs.

Critical security updates will be available on systems utilizing desktop
Kepler-series GPUs through September 2024. A complete list of desktop
Kepler-series GeForce GPUs can be found here.

Yet, the GTX 750 TI uses GM107 (Maxwell).

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/nvidia-gm107.g762

Graphics Features

DirectX 12 (11_0)
OpenGL 4.6
OpenCL 3.0
Vulkan 1.1
CUDA 5.0
Shader Model 5.1
PureVideo HD VP6
VDPAU Feature Set E

The DirectX seem to come in

11.2 (11_0)
12 (11_0) <=== yours (left is sw, right is hw)
12 (12_0)
12 (12_1)
12 (12_2)

On a release note, you're lucky to get a list of cards.
I would not expect "star billing". Like a new car, a
video card is over the hill as soon as its released.

With Windows 10, if you don't install it, the system will
install it (at some point, in the future).

Windows 10 won't install new ones, if there aren't any
new ones. Like, for my HD6450 that I used to use.
Which can still be used in an emergency.

Unless you disable hardware updates. Unlike OS or security updates,
disabling hardware updates is permanent, not just delayed.

If you don't play games and the current version is fine then just leave it
well alone :)

I haven't done an OS upgrade in a long time. I do fresh installs, and
you get the bundled drivers -- but you need to be quick to disable the
hardware updates, or do the install while offline. If instead of OS
upgrade you mean the service packs which Microsoft renamed Feature
Updates, I don't recall my hardware drivers getting changed. They have
made changes in Feature Updates that has rendered some hardware useless
until I fixed it, but don't remember that I had to reinstall the
drivers, just tweak back something they changed, like the default audio
device got changed, I go no sound from my external speakers, and had to
go in audio devices to re-select the correct one.

For my Realtek chip, devmgmt.msc shows I'm still using a driver released
back in 2019 (which was probably when I decided to update it). The AMD
audio driver is dated back to 4/1/2020 which was probably when I updated
to the latest Catalyst package back then for the AMD video card (note:
component versions do not need to match the package version). The AMD
Radeon package was installed - by me - back in Nov 20. Despite there is
a new version available, I'm still back on the prior version. The HID
driver for the USB mouse is dated back to 2006, so that one hasn't
changed since before Windows 10 even became a wet dream.

I'm the opposite; I always do upgrades. If you go back a number of
years, it was always better and safer to do clean installations, but
those days are long gone.

It is of course still possible that an upgrade can cause a problem, and
a clean installation would have been better. But my view is that since
an upgrade is much easier than a clean installation, it's always
preferable to do the upgrade, but be prepared to do a clean installation
if the upgrade causes a problem.

https://old.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/o8q7od/is_there_a_compiled_nvidias_w10_drivers_release/h36m5fs/
says there are security fixes. I wonder why MS never released them in
its Windows Update's drivers.

When possible, I do upgrades when it's for other people, including my wife,
but I do clean installs on my own systems. I like to start fresh,
installing programs and utilities only as I need them. I'm always surprised
at just how much of what I had on the old system doesn't get installed on
the new system.
