Hi,

the following minimal example compiles:

\NeedsTeXFormat{LaTeX2e}
\documentclass{scrbook}

\usepackage{kpfonts-otf,wasysym}
\usepackage[euler]{textgreek}
\usepackage{hyperref}

\begin{document}

\chapter{The \textalpha-subunit}

This is more prevalent in \male\ than in \female.

\section{The electronegativity \textchi}

\end{document}

However, the \male and \female symbols get replaced by boxes (Missing
character: There is no ? in font [KpRoman-Regular.otf]/OT:script=latn;l
anguage=dflt;+liga;-rlig;-dlig;-hlig;mapping=tex-text;!). Well, they
should not be taken from KpRoman, but from wasy.

In addition, the upright Greek letters in the titles print fine, but are
missing in the bookmarks (Package hyperref Warning: Glyph not defined in
PU encoding,(hyperref) removing `\textchi' on input line)

kpfonts-otf loads unicode-math and that redefines \male and \female
at begin document. If you want the wasy definition you will have to
redo it.

Not in a current texlive.

That is right. So if you have to use {kpfonts-otf} (with just
{kpfonts} there is no such problem) then an easy solution is in the
following example file:
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\documentclass{scrbook}
\usepackage{kpfonts-otf,wasysym}
\let\wasymale\male\let\wasyfemale\female

\begin{document}
\let\male\wasymale\let\female\wasyfemale

This is more prevalent in \male\ than in \female.

\end{document}

unfortunately, kpfonts causes other problems, that's why I switched

Yes, thanks, that works.
