If you want to stay within the beamer ecosystem, you can use blocks

\documentclass{beamer}

\usetheme{warsaw}

\begin{document}

\begin{frame}
   \begin{block}{title}
     \begin{columns}
       \begin{column}{.4\textwidth}
         \begin{block}{test}
           content...
         \end{block}
       \end{column}
       \begin{column}{.4\textwidth}
         \begin{block}{test}
           content...
         \end{block}
       \end{column}
     \end{columns}
   \end{block}
\end{frame}

\end{document}

If you need something more flexible, use tcolorboxs
